The Ministry of Home Affairs is steadfast in its commitment to understand and address the rising cost of living challenges faced by Bermuda's residents and businesses. In alignment with this dedication, the Ministry has announced a Cost of Living Summit, scheduled for 2025. This event will convene representatives from government, industry, labor, and the community to collaboratively examine the systemic drivers of Bermuda's high costs and to develop actionable strategies for sustainable relief.To ensure that the Summit is informed by representative data, the Ministry is undertaking a two-pronged national engagement initiative:Public Survey: Capturing residents' real-world experiences with affordability challenges, perceptions of governmental relief efforts, and openness to new measures.Stakeholder & Business Consultations: Engaging with the business community to gather insights on supply chain constraints, cost pass-throughs, wage pressures, and potential incentives for cost reduction.
